Beam - a structural element that works mainly on the basis of bending. In practice, a horizontally positioned beam bears the load perpendicular to itself. In some cases, other forces should also be taken into account - wind load on the structure or seismic activity. Beam is the simplest and most durable material for such loads, provided that a minimum quantity of material is used. Beams are manufactured using two types of methods – welding, of rolled and sheet materials. IPE, HEA, HEB and other standards. Standard length is 6 or 12 metres.

Types of preforms for beams:

double-T profile - by configuration its cross-section resembles the letter H, this product is often used as the basis for the whole metal structure due to the increased load resistance;
with parallel rails - designed for the formation of columns and partitions;
with an inner slope - used for creating overhead rail systems.

6m beams - minimum product size according to accepted standards. 12m beams - the most popular and sought-after rolled metal variation.
